WILLIAM M. MORRISON JR., 68, of FREEHOLD WILLIAM M. MORRISON JR., 68, of FREEHOLD, died Wednesday, April 25, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Atlantic City, he resided in Freehold most of his life. He worked as a data processing security officer for the Elastic Stop Nut in Union. Once semi-retired, he was a self-employed lawn equipment repairman and Freehold Borough crossing guard. Mr. Morrison was a member of B.P.O. Elks Lodge 1454 of Freehold; co-chairman of Freehold Borough Shade Tree Commission; and a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church. He also served his country in the Marine Corps.He is survived by his wife, Joann; his three sons, William M. III, Milton, and Mark; a daughter, Yosena; his mother, Cecelia Hitchins; a brother, Joseph; and two sisters, Dorothy Grant and Nancy Thompson. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Freeman Funeral Home, 47 E. Main St., Freehold. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, Freehold. Interment will follow at Forest Green Cemetery, Marlboro. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 801 Broad St., Shrewsbury, NJ 07702-4201. |
