William "Buddy" as a child and "Bill" as an adult was my oldest brother.  He did his best to protect me from the bullies at my school.  He even made the boys in high school promise to behave if he "allowed" them to date me.  We were 6 years apart but he is was the one who taught me to tie my shoes and and get my school uniform over my head when I was 5.  He walked me to and from elementary school and worked hard at being the best he could be.

Bill was never perfect but when he was wrong he admitted it and he was always willing to ask forgiveness.  He had a war, loving and kind side too.

I will always be thankful he was my older brother.  Everyone should have someone who loved them as much as he loved me.  His passing is one of the sorriest days of my life.
